about me

I believe that healing is a natural power we all possess. Healing is not linear and is unique to each individual. I approach each patient and treatment as a fresh opportunity for that person to heal and grow.

I earned my BA in Environmental Studies from UCSB in 1991 and my Masters of Science in PT from University of Montana in 2000. I have been practicing outpatient PT in Bellingham, WA for 24 years. My specialties include John Barnes' Myofascial Release Approach (MFR), Women's Health, and Vestibular Rehabilitation. Through all of my continuing education courses, I resonated with Myofascial Release the most because it acknowledged the mind/body connection that I had been witnessing in my patients for years and explained a missing link that I was eager to learn about...the body as the unconscious mind.

In addition to completing over 270 hours of John Barnes Myofascial Release coursework, I have completed a week long internship (treating patients alongside John Barnes) and attended his clinic in Sedona as a patient to experience this work first-hand.

I recognize that healing is physical, emotional and spiritual and that there are many avenues to healing. My goal is to be a facilitator of this process with my knowledge, skills and intuition.

On a personal note:

I find being in nature to be inspirational, motivational, meditative and grounding. When I am not in the clinic you can find me mountain biking at Galbraith, skiing at Mt Baker, hiking on local tails or gardening.
